My take on the ever-popular Welsh stick chair, shown here in ash with a black milk paint finish.
The Welsh stick chair is a vernacular style that developed west of the border and shares much DNA with what we now call the Windsor chair. It's often described as a 'primitive' style of chair, but its simple, sculptural forms are every bit contemporary and will make a real statement in the modern home. Different combinations of spindle numbers, comb shape and arm detailing are possible. Please contact me to discuss.
