Chairmaker's table
Chairmaker's table
My focus as a maker is usually on chairs and seating, but occasionally I like to turn my hand to tables.
This example I've decided to call The Chairmaker's Table as its design and construction draw heavily on my roots as a chairmaker. Its construction echoes that of a Windsor chair, using similar joinery and other details.
It's a handsome piece, made as a private commission but destined to become a central piece in my repertoire.
Pictured here with a reclaimed oak top, ash legs, copper details and a sage milk paint finish.
